Dear Giro720, thank you for your contribute. It's amazing to see a new user so expert in our proceedings and mechanisms. I just wanted to ask you if you know the translator of the italian poetries: is the author himself or another one? If you know, write it into ths Tradotto da space, in Template:Infotesto here. I hope to be the author: in that case the poetries will be surely in public domain. See you soon PS: forgive me for my terrible english ;-) --Aubrey McFato 11:26, 5 ott 2007 (CEST)[rispondi]

Dear Giro720, just two words, you already know what to do :-)

  • The right title is PRINCIPLENAME/POETRYNAME.
  • We still do not accept users' translations, our community is too much small to manage a plan like this.
  • I've correct the title. because we have to think at the text himself, not the book that host it. So the right way is to name it "Sonetòs" or "Sonetti", and for "Canzonette" we'll make another page. Move the page and i'll delete old redirects. Aubrey McFato 00:02, 6 ott 2007 (CEST)[rispondi]

Congratulations[modifica]

Dear Giro720,

I'm amazed, your wiki-skill is remarkable and now we have some poetry otherwise unknown to Italian scholars: thank you very much indeed. To specify the title of the pages we'd like to know the title of the collection given by Da Costa (Canzonette should be the right one). If Obras Poeticas etc. etc. is the title of his opera omnia we'll use it only if no true title is found (on the other hand we don't need other poems here, as they are all in Portoguese. Tell us when you're done with Italian poetry, because this international collaboration deserves some international resonance! - εΔω 00:03, 6 ott 2007 (CEST)[rispondi]

First of all, thanks =). All those poems was collect in a book called Obras Poéticas de Glauceste Satúrnio (Poetical Works of Glauceste Satúrnio - Glauceste Satúrnio is the pseudonym of Cláudio Manuel da Costa) or just Obras Poéticas in the section "Sonetos" (Sonetti in Italian). As the sonetti are nubered from LXXXIV to XCVII, should those poems be moved to Obras Poéticas de Glauceste Satúrnio/LXXXIV? The "Canzonette" is another section of the same book and I will upload them soon. This is another problem: what title should I use to those "Canzonette" if they are not numered? Giro720 04:39, 7 ott 2007 (CEST)[rispondi]
Well, if Obras Poéticas de Glauceste Satúrnio is the title given by the author to his opera omnia then it'll be the official title. We build the titles using the "slash" so if no subsection of Obras.. contains the Italian sonetos, their pages will be called Obras Poéticas de Glauceste Satúrnio/Sonetos/LXXXIV and so on, Obras Poéticas de Glauceste Satúrnio/Canzonette in the talk page we can add a note to alert the user that most sonnets are located in pt.source. I'm studying the best way to present the complete listing of poems in Obras... here, using interlinks to point to pages in pt.source, and it could be useful for pt.source too. We already have authors writing in two languages, but now for the first time here we have a single work split between two wikisources, another interesting challenge. - εΔω 08:35, 7 ott 2007 (CEST)[rispondi]

Tips about {{§}}[modifica]

Hi| I saw that you post a {{§}} template into Divina Commedia. I'm happy for your interest about Divina Commedia... and out template too!

There's an alterative use of it, just to take the targer test outside the template. This is the sintax you used:

<poem>{{|§In_mezzo|In mezzo del cammin}} di nostra vita,
mi ritrovai in una selva oscura</poem>

and this code produces exactly the same effect, but it is "better formed" since there's no text inside the template. This could be a good idea, when using, in the future, the text:

<poem>{{|§In_mezzo}}In mezzo del cammin di nostra vita,</span>
mi ritrovai in una selva oscura</poem>

I'm going to change the code of your edit as an example, tell me if it runs! --Alex brollo (disc.) 07:19, 22 ott 2010 (CEST)[rispondi]

Thanks Alex! This template is really important for wikiquote, and useful for others projects. Even between different languages: for example, there are a lot of epigraphs in French, Italian or English in Portuguese poems/works.
