A big challenge[modifica]

@Bodhisattwa really a big challenge!

I took a first look to this index, thank you for your trust. I see some troubles; original scans come from Opal Libri Antichi, Opal Libri Antichi, at medium resolution (only 300 dpi), and probably highly compressed with a jpg compression. IA derived pdf into jp2 then compressing them again into djvu.... the result is IMHO far from good, considering that denavagari characters are very exotic for us, and we need an excellent detail to try to study them.

I can derive a better djvu - photo quality, uncompressed - but I can't get anything better than original scans. Well, anyway I'll try. You can find here: Progetto:Bot/Programmi in Python per i bot/jp2todjvu.py a python script which downloads IA _jp2.zip and _djvu.xml files, and builds from those files a much better (and much heavier....) djvu.
